The Queen has marked the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks with a message to the President of the United States.

In a message posted on social media, Her Majesty recalled her own visit to the World Trade Centre in 2010 when she laid a wreath to remember those who lost their lives.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also paid tribute on their website Archewell with the landing page titled 'In Memorian' followed by the names of those who had died in the attacks.
